Public Art 3D Visualisation
3D Animation & Modelling
WHAT: A 3D Visualisation for a design competition for the public art installation at the Marion Cultural Centre, Adelaide. Designers Craige Andrae and Jason Oaten-Hepworth had the idea of placing a series of illuminated fabric canopies. The canopy “trees” not only capture rain water, but have dream-time stories imprinted on the trunks, which is quite fitting to the Marion Cultural Centre location.
WHY: When selling the idea to the clients, the designers felt that a 3D Visualisation showing the way the sculptures appeared during both day and night was important. TOTLD worked with the designers to produce some high quality renders that accurately portrayed materials, and created a sense of place to best represent their concepts.
